Oracle is one of the world's largest software manufacturers in terms of sales. Oracle employs more than 138,000 people and has 430,000 customers in 175 countries. In addition to the database product Oracle Database, Oracle produces and sells the Oracle Fusion middleware as well as the JEE servers Oracle Application Server and Oracle WebLogic.
With sales of $ 39.5 billion and a profit of $3.7 billion, Oracle ranks 107th among the world's largest companies according to Forbes Global 2000 (as of fiscal year 2017). The company had a market cap of approximately $191 billion in mid-2018.
